Lyn talks about the Maori family and the value differences which exist between Maori and Pakeha cultural styles. She draws on her own up-bringing to bring about a greater understanding of the Maori family and the difficulties faced not only by Maori people dealing with Pakeha values and institutions but also for those Pakeha who must work with Maori families but who have no concept of Maori view of the world.
