A major report released last month reveals improvement in some areas of Maori health between 1970 and 1984 subce a previous study covering the years 1955 to 1975. But in many areas Maori health statistics approximate reported third world figures and ins ome cases top the list. Karen Chapman discusses the report and reactions to it.
